Frequently Asked Questions
How much do treatments costs?
Costs are determined after reviewing insurance coverage and determining what services are needed. We will provide a detailed explanation of your insurance costs per service. We also offer discounted rates for our services for those who do not have insurance or whose insurance does not cover them.
Can I drive after acupuncture treatment?
Yes! Acupuncture does not inhibit driving, however it can sometimes leave you tired so if you’re unsure be sure to bring a friend with you to your treatment!
Is acupuncture safe?
Yes! It’s very safe – in 30 years of practice we have not seen any long term damage done by acupuncture. Slight Bruising or soreness may occur but that is a perfectly normal reaction.
Can I have acupuncture if I’m taking blood thinners
Yes! Blood thinners may cause an increase in bruising but otherwise there is not a risk involved.
Do you treat children
Yes, we are able to treat children 5 and over. We ask that the patient be able to follow instructions and give proper feedback so our clinicians can accurately assess their progress.
Do you practice needle safety?
Yes absolutely! We only use pre-packaged sterilized needles. One time use only and once the treatment is completed all needles are disposed of in a biohazard safe disposal container!
What should I wear to a treatment
Comfortable, loose fitting clothing. Physical therapy will include some exercise and we’ll need access to your trouble areas. We do of course provide gowns and other privacy covers for the acupuncture treatments as needed to ensure your privacy and comfort at all times.
What should I expect at my first visit?
We have intake paperwork that may take about 10-15 minutes to complete, after that your appointment will begin with a consultation with one of our providers in a private room where they will review your reasons for coming as well as a brief review of your medical history. After taking your condition and health into account they will formulate a treatment plan for you that will show you the best results. After meeting for a consultation you will meet with a member of our administrative staff who will explain in detail the full costs of your treatments to ensure there are no financial surprises! After this treatment will begin! You will receive all services at the first visit if you decide to be treated!
Do you provide free consultation?
Yes! We allow anyone to speak with our clinicians without committing to a treatment plan or having any costs.
Do you allow walk in patients?
Yes, we do allow walk in patients however, we encourage you to schedule an appointment so that you do not have any wait times and we are able to provide the best quality care!
How long do treatments take?
The initial treatment will take longer due to paperwork and consultation so we ask that you allow about an hour or hour and a half for this treatment. All other visits are about 45 minutes to an hour!
Can I bring someone with me?
You are welcome to bring someone with you to treatment however we do have single patient treatment rooms so we ask that you avoid bringing more than one extra person!
